Inspired by designer Marissa’s Italian grandmother, who believed no outfit was complete without a necklace—or a story—this necklace is part of the heartfelt Madre Collection. It celebrates the lineage of women—past, present, and future—with materials chosen for their meaning and beauty.

Marissa's grandmother would lovingly tease her for not wearing a nice "collana" (meaning necklace in Italian) with her dresses when she was a younger. She loved wearing beaded necklaces herself with her floral blouses and dresses she used to make. This collection is dedicated to this story and the bohemian Italian that Madre Maria was herself. This collection was created to gift someone special as a tribute to the strength and love passed through generations.

Crafted by hand in our Melbourne studio, this necklace features two powerful stones:

• Lepidolite, known as the “grandmother stone,” symbolizing emotional healing and wisdom

• Pink coral, said to represent protection, love, and life energy

Pair it with the matching Madre bracelet for a complete, bohemian-inspired look.

Each order is beautifully wrapped in a velvet pouch, jewellery box and our signature printed packaging.
